The ability to work effectively as a team is perhaps the core organizational skill. Unfortunately, it isn’t a skill that arises naturally, given that teams are made up of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
 
Our work together could focus on the following:

Every team has aspects of their culture that enable them to perform well, as well as elements that hinder or block their performance. We will uncover what yours are.
 
  1. Exploring the deeper team dynamic
What are your team’s hidden, unwritten rules, norms and assumptions? Together, we will unveil how this dynamic impacts your team’s day-to-day functions and performance.
 
  1. Interpersonal relationships
Why do people do the things they do? What makes Discerning Leadership’s approach different from that of other coaches and consultants is that you will experience on a profound level what makes you tick, and in the process, gain insights into your team’s behavior that will help you to achieve your business goals.
 
  1. Deciding the way forward
Having access to all of the above, your team can then decide on what you need to continue, stop or start doing differently.
 
How Team Coaching Works
 
Depending on the unique needs of your team, a 2-day meeting can be designed, followed by 90-minite team coaching sessions on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis.

How can leadership reduce suffering? That's the inquiry that my work is centered in.
My promise: because leadership can be hard, you can be assured that the work we do will be based in reality as-lived rather than theories that look good. What's more, you and I will enjoy a lightness of being and a sense of humor that are imperative on the leadership journey.
