(Parts of my bucket list -- skydiving, visiting Stockholm, Sweden, and sculling -- fulfilled.)
*Newsflash*
In 2023, Duanna attained a NPS (Net Promoter Score) score of 9.93 (out of 10) in her work with leaders from organizations such as NASA, GroupM, Chegg, Malwarebytes, University of California Office of the President.
Considered by millions of businesses as the gold-standard customer experience metric, an NPS score measures customer satisfaction based on one simple question: “How likely is it that you would recommend X to your friend or colleague?”
Nice to meet you
Coaching leaders to uncover their deepest potential and do meaningful work is the greatest mission of which I could ever dream. Since 2005, I have worked with C-suite executives (CEOs, CHROs, CFOs), directors, physicians, nurses, engineers and non-profit executives in America and Singapore -- one-to-one or as a team -- to become skillful, resilient leaders who are able to navigate constantly changing environments to achieve organizational and personal goals.
How I am different
• Unlike some coaches and consultants, I won't inundate you with personality assessments that tend to quickly lose their relevance. In my experience, the most effective starting point is to uncover the source of your challenge. With the deep clarity and awareness you gain, you can then put the past in the past and truly design a future that is unencumbered, inspiring and attainable.
• I believe that every leader who wants to make a meaningful difference should have access to leadership coaching, and I have made my coaching and training programs highly affordable and customizable to my clients' needs.
• For as long as I can remember, I've been intrigued by human behavior and what makes us tick. Having exposed myself to all kinds of self-improvement processes, it finally became clear that before any positive change can occur, there needs to be self-awareness, and that THE access to self-awareness is mindfulness -- that is, the non-judgmental moment-to-moment awareness of our thoughts, emotions and triggers.
Mindfulness has been scientifically shown to be remarkably useful in reducing stress. As a mindfulness teacher who's being trained by renowned meditation teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, I am adept at guiding my clients to lower their stress and burnout levels -- a skill few leadership coaches possess.
• Life is short and the change process is tough. That's why I promise to infuse a lightness of being and a sense of humor in your leadership journey with me.
What inspires me
• Travel - The quote by St Augustine, "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page" has inspired me immensely. To date, I've traveled to countries like the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. On my bucket list are Italy, Austria and Japan (Kyoto).
• Skydiving - As Neale Donald Walsh said, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone", I plunged out of a perfectly working airplane while attached to someone who knew what he was doing. It was at the edge of death that I felt most alive! Another epiphany I had: if I could confront such a crippling fear as jumping to my possible death, I can confront any fear, right?
• Rowing or sculling - I first saw teams rowing on TV dramas set in Oxford or Cambridge, England, and aspired to be able to do it in my lifetime. Sculling is deeply meditative and when my strokes are effortless and I'm not thinking about them, I am in the zone, and yes, I am happy...
What gets me in the flow...
Creating jewelry with beads and crystals is a hobby that puts me in flow -- I'm completely absorbed by the process... I discovered I could make jewelry by accident during one of those "dark night of the soul" moments and haven't stopped creating since. Recently, my pieces were selected for sale at the Birmingham Museum of Art store. They have also sold at Sanctuary Salon in Birmingham and the
Land of Medicine Buddha store in Santa Cruz, California.

Here's a Corporate Bio
Duanna Pang is a Certified Coach who works with managers, directors and business owners in America and Singapore who want to become confident leaders who can effectively increase their team’s performance, productivity and profitability.
Since 2005, her practice has been customizing and delivering programs for leaders that take the stress out of leadership, and lead to significant and sustainable big-picture results.
One of Duanna’s specialties is authentic team building — coaching leaders to develop teams that feel a strong sense of belonging, and using that as a foundation for dramatic growth.
Another of her passions is coaching new managers and directors on a one-on-one basis, assisting them to step into their leadership roles with confidence and ease, and become inspiring and engaging along the way.
Duanna also provides Corporate Retreat Facilitation, which includes conducting leadership training and coaching programs at the retreats.
Duanna’s coaching draws upon years of experience managing small publishing houses in her position as Magazine Editor of lifestyle magazines, where her responsibilities included writing, editing, implementation of marketing strategies, staff management and business development.
Her coaching also draws from moving from Singapore to America and starting her own business from scratch, without knowing a single soul in a new country and community.
In her leadership roles, Duanna worked with teams that were diverse in cultures and professions, successfully forging productive and cohesive relationships amongst them that resulted in increased performance, productivity and profitability.
She was also the Content Director of an Internet portal that spanned 3 countries –- Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong.
Duanna obtained her coach certification through an ICF (International Coach Federation) accredited coaching school based in Boulder, Colorado, where she studied under Dr. David Krueger MD, former clinical professor of psychiatry at Baylor College turned executive mentor coach.
Duanna is a Past President of the International Coach Federation’s North & Central Alabama Chapter. In 2007 and 2008, Duanna spearheaded projects that showcased the positive impact that coaching can have on the Birmingham community, as well as the coaches who were available locally to assist the community at large. She continues to be a member of the ICF.
Duanna is an Affiliate Member of Harvard Medical School’s Institute of Coaching. She is also a member of Conversation Among Masters, an invitation-only gathering of master-level coaches from around the world.
Duanna was a member of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce’s (now known as the Birmingham Business Alliance) Small Business Committee. In 2006, Duanna proposed the Night of the Living Dead event which took place on Oct 26. The purpose of this event was for business owners to share their “near-death” business experiences, how they survived them, and the insights they gained as a result of those trials.
Duanna also volunteered her time at the Chamber’s Entrepreneurial Training Series’ planning committee. The committee was responsible for planning the programs for the year.
Duanna was the 2010 Diversity Chair for the Birmingham Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM). Duanna also volunteered on the Membership Committee of The Women’s Network — a gathering of Birmingham’s top women executives and leaders. She was a Board Member of Coaching The Global Village, a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Florida that provides coaching skills training to community leaders in developing countries. Todate, CGV has worked in countries like Africa, Nepal and Costa Rica.
An avid writer of leadership trends, Duanna has written articles for publications like the Birmingham Business Journal, The Birmingham News, the Asia Pacific Tech Monitor, Business Alabama magazine, The Birmingham Times, FreshGrads.sg, Action Community for Entrepreneurship (published by a government agency in Singapore that is devoted to entrepreneurship) and so on.
Duanna has co-authored 101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life with renowned self-growth masters like Mark Victor Hansen, Ken Blanchard, Les Brown and Byron Katie
In 2012 following a recession that left many of her fellow coaches' businesses suffering, Duanna decided to gather 11 successful coaches who had thrived during challenging economic times and wrote a book -- Inspired and Prosperous: 11 World-renowned Coaches Reveal Their Success and Sustainability Secrets to chronicle their success stories. The book is available on Amazon.com in Kindle and paperback formats.
